Cory Johnson Medical and Related Expense
Donation protected

Dear Friends, we are reaching out on behalf of and in support of Cory Johnson, lifelong member of the Duluth community and chef at many favorite local establishments including Chester Creek Café, Amazing Grace and currently Lake Avenue Café and The Social House on Canal Park. Those who know Cory know his big empathetic heart, always willing to help out a friend in need. It is now our chance to return the favor. On January 10th Cory sustained a traumatic brain injury and was rushed to Essentia Medical Center in Duluth, where lifesaving surgery was performed, relieving pressure on his brain. He is currently in critical condition; things are touch and go, with emerging complications and difficult choices to make. Despite the dire situation, we are holding out hope that Cory can pull through. While the future is uncertain for Cory and his family, what is certain is the need for support through his current medical crisis and hopeful recovery. Cory does not maintain benefits such as short- or long-term disability, life insurance or otherwise, and he has three children Lukas (20), Sasha (17) and Mattea (12) the younger two of whom he currently maintains child support obligations for. As you may expect, between his loss of income and lack of supportive benefits Cory and his family could use anything you are willing and able to afford. All donations to Cory’s account will be used to pay for uncovered medical expenses, lost wages and other related needs as they arise. We thank you in advance for your support of Cory and for sharing this page to the larger community.
Remember to always say I love you, take more pictures and never go to bed mad. Life is unpredictable.
