Hearing Devices for Deaf Teacher

My name is Cory and I have been a Math Teacher for 12 years. I have been deaf since birth but can speak well with the use of hearing aids and read lips. I have been in speech therapy for many years. Unfortunately, i now need implants as opposed to aids. The devices are extremely expensive- around $8,000-$10,000…my hearing has declined tremendously and now I need implants requiring special devices to hear others and also myself when I speak. It has taken many devices to fix this and speak again well and I am thankful for those that have supported me so far. Insurance companies call hearing devices “cosmetic” and they do not cover them! They must be replaced every 3-4 years.
