Hoy es su gran noche, la noche para la que lleva años preparándose. Ultima los preparativos cuando se prepara frente al espejo, hoy tiene que estar impecable. Sus huéspedes le esperan abajo nerviosos y ajenos a lo que está a punto de ocurrir. Él no puede dejar que los nervios le jueguen una mala pasada, se serena y agarra el cuchillo; ese que heredó de su otrora antecesor, ese que con suerte le dará hoy la libertad. A su llegada los invitados le reciben con incertidumbre, inquietos, la performance parece estar funcionando. Situa el cuchillo en el centro de la mesa alrededor de la cual están atados los jugadores, lo hace girar hasta que se detiene apuntando a uno de ellos, con una macabra sonrisa se acerca a él y pregunta: “¿Matar o morir?”

¿Quiénes somos?

¡Hola! Somos Fran y Quique del equipo de producción de Purple Door Films y esto es ‘Matar o morir’ nuestro próximo proyecto. Se trata de un cortometraje que nace del amor de su director y co-guionista por el terror en general y el slasher en particular, en él un grupo de cinco amigos de veintipico años son encerrados por un peculiar asesino que a modo de maestro de ceremonias les ha preparado un juego en el que se pondrán a prueba los lazos que unen a este grupo cuando los elegidos por azar tengan que decidir si se sacrifican por sus amigos o matan a uno de ellos para sobrevivir.

Para abordar un proyecto como este es totalmente imprescindible contar con un equipo con ganas y pasión, por ello no queremos escribir ni una sola línea más sin presentaros a las personas que harán esta producción posible, además de nosotros: Fran (director, co-guionista y productor) y Quique (ayudante de producción y animador) el equipo de 'Matar o morir' está formado por Paula (co-guionista, ayudante de dirección y productora), Irene (script), Andrea (coach de actores), Diego (director de fotografía), Mario (ayudante de cámara), Lorena (editora y colorista), Gabo (gaffer), Juls (foto fija), Gogui (jefe de sonido), María (directora de arte), Melisa (atrecista), Lulu (vestuario), Dani (jefa de producción), Denisse (maquilladora), María (grafista) y Sevy (compositor musical), además de nuestras actrices y actores: Álvaro, Chema, Paula, Inés, Juan y Alejandra.

Today is his big night, the night he’s been waiting for all those years. He’s touching up the details when he gets ready in front of the mirror, today he needs to be flawless. His guests sit downstairs, nervous, and oblivious to what is about to happen. He can’t let his nerves take over so, he calms himself down and grabs the knife, the one he inherited from his predecessor, the one that today will grant him freedom. Upon his arrival, his guests receive him with uncertainty, they are restless, the performance seems to be working. He places the knife in the center of the table, around which the players sit tied down, he makes it spin and the knife eventually points to one of them, with a grim smile he gets near him and asks: “Kill or be killed?”

Who are we?

Hello! We are Fran and Quique from the production team of Purple Door Films and this is “Kill or be killed” our next project. It’s a short film that comes from the love its director and cowriter have for terror in general and the slasher genre in particular. In it a group of five friends in their twenties are kidnapped by a peculiar killer who has prepared a game for them where they must put the ties that unite them to the test when the randomly chosen players must choose to sacrifice themselves or kill one of their friends to survive.

To turn this project into a reality it is essential to count with a team full of passion, because of this I do not want to write another line without introducing you to the team that will make this production possible, apart from ourselves: Fran (director, co-writer and producer) and Quique (production assistant and animator) the “Kill or be Killed” team is formed by Paula (co-writer, 1st assistant director and producer), Irene (script), Andrea (acting coach), Diego (Dop), Mario (1st assistant camera), Lorena (editor and colorist), Gabo (gaffer), Juls (photographer), Gogui (production sound mixer), María (production designer), Melisa (set dresser), Lulu (wardrobe), Dani (Production Coordinator), Denisse (make-up artist), María (graphic design) and Sevy (music composer), apart from our actors and actresses: Álvaro, Chema, Paula, Inés, Juan and Alejandra.
