About a year ago i was in  a bad accident. I was going down a hill on a bike that brakes stopped working and at about 20mph i went  face first into a metal bench and bounced landing on my butt on the sidewalk. After no one stopped to help me, i called 911 and while holding my teeth and bleed a lot. I was taken to the hospital where i found out i got a le forte three facture in my face and two compression fractures in my back. I was rushed into surgery by a plastic surgeon and oral surgeon where i was given a tracheotomy and then had to have 5 titanium plates and 9 titanium screws in my face. The surgery was successful and then i spent a week in the ICU. I wasnt able to talk for 3 days and was on  a feeding tube during that time as well. The icu in san diego at this hospital was amazing and i got the best care and treatment. I was out in a week. I went through swallow testing after removing the trach, then physical therapy to walk.  I  kept a positive attitude during the whole experience and was even crackin jokes when i first went in.  This experience was spiritually humbling. Its been over a year since it has happened, and i a just now feeling okay with my back fractures. 

The week i got out was the first week of march, the same week covid happened. 
i had no idea what was going on and no one told me, I came out of the hospital to a chaotic world and living in san diego i had no family. I had my mom change my flight cause i had a bad feeling and had i not to one day before i wouldnt of come home. the day i came home was the first day of lock down and they cancelled my original flight.  So this past year seeing anyone for something has been hard. Especially for getting my teeth fixed. I miss being able to smile like i used to and to bite down into food without having to cut  it.  The only place i could get seen is through my moms and  the price for my missing bottom and top teeth is 3000. 

I never really have been the type to ask for help as i usually prefer being the one giving it but sometimes its okay to ask for help. So i am asking friends and strangers alike for help to be able to smile again like used too. Thank you for reading this and if you decide to donate thank you for that as well :)
