Hi, my name is Lisa. I was a close friend Cortland and I want to have a candlelight vigil on Sunday January 28th for his memory for friends to show up and trade stories and talk and remember Cortland Richard bird. Anyone's welcome to attend there will be candles and food provided. I'm just hoping to have a nice gathering of people. To remember courtland and have a place to talk about him and remember him after this tragedy. There will be food and drinks and a safe place to gather and Bring positive memories to light about Courtland and their experiences and memories of him.

It will be a safe space for people to remember courtland. No drama, no fighting no negativity. Friends who want to come remember Him amd light a candle in honor of him . Friends amongst eachother who want to show support

for him after this tragedy . If you would like to speak or want to prepare some kind words for the people who attend let me know and we will have a moment to reflect and hear what you want to share as well as a moment of silence in his honor . Thank you.

Update

After speaking with his mom. She said she did not plan to have any type of service for him. That's what he wanted. His mom is having him cremated today or tomorrow and she will keep his ashes. She does not want any of his belongings or any one to ask her to attend any services for him. She only wants to mourn in hey own way with her daughters at her side. She Asks to be left to her remaining children to grieve with. She gave me her blessing on organizing something for his friends to attend and remember him. So this may be the only gathering for him. I pushed the Day back one week from Sunday. I wanted to give more time to organize this for him.
