My husband, Cortez, 45 years old, had a 16-hour surgery on March 4th for a familial thoracic aortic aneurysm dissection. His surgery was a success but has left him paralyzed from the waist down. We knew with this surgery that paralysis was a huge risk, but without this surgery, his outcome would have been death. We have prayed and continue to pray daily for strength and guidance through our new chapter in life. We know our Lord will never give us anything we cannot overcome. He will not be able to return to his job of over 25 years. He is dealing and processing everything the best he can. We are still in ICU, 19 days and counting. He is a miracle. God is great.
