Property repairs Cortez Church of Christ

Hello! This is Kevin Hall, I'm the preacher here at the Cortez Church of Christ! I've been preaching here for 8 years and need to ask you all for help! We are in the historical fishing village of Cortez Florida in Manatee County near Anna Maria Island and have been in this community since 1908. We have never been need of financial help to do necessary repairs to our property due to a hurricane until now. We had almost 2 feet of standing salt water inside our building. You can see photos of the building in its current state on our Facebook page. The flooring- pews- drywall many doors all a total loss! Furniture throughout - items in kids class also damaged. We did not have flood insurance (too costly for our small group). We also do not have funds for repairs. We are a small group serving a large tourist area. We are asking our brothers and sister in Christ to consider making a donation to the church for the purpose of repairing our property. We will continue to meet weekly for worship and bible study at another location of coarse. We are also incredibly thankful for God's plan for his church making the people the church and allowing for us to meet at another location while we work on repairs. Our members will be doing all we can ourselves as far a removing carpet and pews quickly to prevent further damage and mold. We are thankful we have breathern willing to help and appreciate you!
