Corsa Needs Surgery!

Hi! My name is Sarah, I work at Rust Bros on Rust Valley Restorers, and one of our Rust Valley dogs needs help! Corsa is a sweet-hearted, funny and incredible Cane Corso dog. She truly is a character! Corsa was playing outside with her three best friends (french bulldogs) while her mom was gardening, and she heard a loud yelp. She turned around and saw Corsa could not put any pressure on her rear leg. Michelle (Corsa's mama) rushed Corsa to the doggy hospital for an examination and scans. She soon found out that Corsa has a cranial cruciate rupture. This means that the ligament that controls her leg movement has completely given out. The ligament is supposed to rotate and is instead sliding side to side. Michelle has ordered her a leg brace to try and keep it isolated, and Corsa is on painkillers and gabapentin - no way for a dog to live its life forever! If Corsa gets this surgery, she will have a somewhat long recovery, but her quality of life will go back to normal as she's only five years old! We have built Corsa a ramp to get up and down the back steps more easily and made it non-slip. We have done many things and will continue to do more to keep her as comfortable as possible. However, she is definitely in pain. The vet recommends she gets her surgery within the next eight weeks. If there is anything you can do to help Corsa, her family will be more than grateful. Absolutely anything is appreciated, whether it is prayer, a small donation, or positive thinking, it indeed does all help.
