Corrina's story

After hitting a low point living with anxiety and depression a couple of years back, I was struggling to find a way forward.

Then I discovered Sally’s Duck Rescue and everything started to change.

Volunteering at the rescue gave me a sense of purpose and a way to connect with something truly special.

Anyone who knows me well, will know I have a soft spot for ducks, so being around them, watching them thrive has helped me more than I can put into words.

The rescue has become a place of healing for me, improving my wellbeing in ways I never expected.

Now , I want to give back .

On Friday 5th September I will be doing a tandem skydive from 13,000ft ( for the first time) at Sibson Airfield, Peterborough, to raise money for this hugely deserving cause Sally’s Duck Rescue .

It’s a massive challenge ( and a little terrifying!) , but it’s nothing compared to the difference this charity has made to my life and the lives of so, so many rescued injured, neglected ducks & and other needy birds

Sally’s Duck Rescue has exciting new projects in the works particularly their ambition to set up and kit out a new hospital wing for poorly ducks. This special wing will allow the rescue and its wonderful volunteers to provide extra care and close monitoring for the ducks most in need.

I want to play my part in helping them to continue their incredible work.

The Purpose of Sallys Duck Rescue is to; - provide a safe sanctuary for injured, disabled or less able domestic waterfowl - Provide a safe haven for domestic waterfowl, where owners are unable to provide or continue to provide care. - Advance the knowledge and understanding of domestic waterfowl owners to the advantage of the animals welfare. - Promote the welfare of domestic waterfowl, particularly in situations where they are abandoned in public places.
