Corrina’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Hello,
I have left the original story posted below if you would like to read about my moms journey. Unfortunately, my moms journey is coming to end. She has fought for 7 long years and it is time for her to be with the Lord. At this time, my mother is still with us, but she is completely unresponsive and will be kept comfortable until she passes, which will most likely be today.
We said our goodbyes yesterday and my dad will be by her side till the end. They found a brain bleed and air in her brain yesterday and that is what is causing all of this. My mom is the most loving and the most deserving person I know. She cares about everyone and even when she was getting to her worst state, she was more worried about her family, her husband, her kids, and her grandkids. She didn't want people to worry about her. She wanted to fight and man did she. She fought harder than any person should have to. She has endured things that most people will never have to experience in their entire lives. Today, I ask for prayers for my mom. For peace for her. For my family as we experience the hardest thing we have ever been through. Pray for comfort as we learn to navigate this new life without her. Pray for her grandchildren, who she adored, that even though they are young, they will never forget "Gamma". Most importantly, please keep my moms spirit alive. Don't let people forget her beautiful smile and all the amazing things she did in this world. Don't forget her fighting spirit, her positive attitude, and the hole she will be leaving in the hearts of many.
This GoFundMe was originally set up to help with medical expenses, but unfortunately will now need to be for funeral expenses and arrangements.
We love you all- The Willms Family
Original Story:
Hello,
my name is CharlieAnn and I am trying to raise funds for my mother Corrina Willms.
As some of you know, and some may not, my mom has been diagnosed with Vulvar cancer many times over the last 6-7 years. She has undergone many surgeries, radiation, and currently chemo and immunotherapy.
Recently, we thought we heard great news, her tumors were shrinking and responding positively to the chemo and immunotherapy, but unfortunately after the good news, we received the bad. The tumors were shrinking, but the cancer has spread to her pelvic bone.
My moms cancer is already rare and with it spreading to her bone, it makes it even more rare. She is one of only about 20 cases ever recorded and as of now, they do not know how to treat it.
That all being said, we reached out to the Mayo Clinic In Minnesota(one of the only clinics who might be able to help her) where we were hopeful they would take on her case and try and find treatment options for her.
Today we received the good news that they will be accepting her!
She has her first appointment December 6th and they will perform multiple tests and figure out the course of her treatment.
My mom is one of the most giving and selfless people I know. She works hard and rarely asks for help.
As we navigate this new chapter in our life, we just ask for help in any way you can. Financially, emotionally, physically, and in prayer.
My mom obviously cannot be working if she is in Minnesota and my dad won’t be able to work as my mom will need someone with her.
Please share share share!
Thank you for taking the time to read!
