Correen & Johnny's Family Support

On October 26th, 2021, Correen underwent unexpected emergency heart surgery.  Her infant baby was at home with her husband, waiting too quickly be reunited with her mom.   No one had any idea what was about to unfold.  Unfortunately, recovery from surgery is not going as planned for the young family and Correen currently remains sedated. 

As a result of the surgery, Correen has accumulated additional fluid around her heart and lungs. She has been on a heart and lung bypass machine, and remains sedated since the operation.

In order to care for their 7 month old, named Lyra, Correen's husband needs to take a leave from work - which will be unpaid.  With Correen on mat leave, an unpaid work absence will put a huge financial strain on Johnny and Correen. 

Not only are they dealing with the stress of being new parents, and have no idea what the road to recovery will look like. 

 

Johnny desperately needs our support! He's currently trying to balance working to support the family, going to the hospital to be with Correen and being a dad to his infant without his wife. 

Johnny, Correen & Lyra need our support now more than ever.
