Correct Liam's eyes
Donation protected
Liam has a condition that basically means that, even with glasses, he is unable to see correctly. This is due to him being unable to use both eyes at the same time so his brain shuts one off for a period of time, or he starts having double vision.
This has caused problems in his school work and has put him behind in his learning how to read.
Thankfully, this can be corrected. By working with a specialist, as well as doing different exercises shown to us by the specialist at home, we can get him back to where he needs to be. This will take place in a 60 week treatment plan where were have to travel an hour and a half to the specialist's clinic once a week for those 60 weeks. This will cost quite a bit in gas and tolls on top of the amount it will cost simply for the treatment itself. Though it is expensive, we are thankful that it does not require any type of surgery.
As of right now, we are looking at $9,000 for the treatment itself. We do not know if any of it will be covered by insurance. There is no guarantee they will cover any of it at all. Then there is another $3,000-4,000 of travel expenses (gas, tolls, food, etc) for those 60 weeks.
My family only has a single income. We simple cannot afford to do this. We want the best for our child and know this is something he desperately needs as this will only grow worse as he gets older. If you feel as though you can help, we would appreciate it more than you could possibly know.
Thank you,
The Rowlands.
