Hello
For a second year running Corran Integrated Primary School has four teams entered into the Belfast Marathon Relay on Sunday the 3rd May 2026.
This time we are splitting the funds raised between the Parents' Council and the Big C Foundation which is the school's chosen charity this year.
The Big C Foundation NI was set up in 2021, inspired by Callum Rennie. Callum was born on 8th April 2019 and was diagnosed with a rare ATRT brain tumour at just 4 weeks old. After treatment and fighting with incredible strength Callum passed away in May 2023. Founded in Callum's memory, The Big C Foundation NI provides direct financial support to families with a child undergoing cancer treatment across Northern Ireland. The Big C Foundation also supplies wheelchairs and mobility equipment to children in need.
All money raised by the parents council funds extras that enhance the school experience for all pupils.
The teams are:
1. Team Corran 1 - Arlene Cooke, George McKeown, Emma Jones, Joanne Carmichael, Claire Mulholland.
2. Team Corran 2 - Jennifer Swann, Katie Beth McKendry, Alistair Kane, Raymond O'Toole, Tracey McRandal.
3. Raymond's Romeos - Patrick Quinlan, Graham Rennie, Mark Lockwood, Ryan Anderson, David Steele.
4. Parents' Council - Colleen Taylor, Neil Armstrong, Rute McAllister, Imogen Taylor, Andrene Rennie.
Whilst the event is primarily about social exercise all teams are in training to do the best they can. Last year the atmosphere was amazing and we would encourage as many people as possible to come along and cheer on our teams.
