Hallo zusammen.
Die Pandemie hat viele Spuren hinterlassen und der Welt viel Leid gebracht. Viele von euch kennen persönliche Geschichten und Schicksale. Wir sind alle betroffen und müssen uns umeinander kümmern.
In den ärmsten Ländern mit schlechten Bildungs- und Gesundheitssystemen ist die Pandemie noch extremer. Wie in Bolivien in Südamerika. Nach Jahren der Misswirtschaft ist das Gesundheitssystem überlastet und es mangelt an allem: Pflegepersonal, optimale medizinische Versorgung, Krankenhausbetten, Sauerstoff und vieles mehr sind knapp, auch in der Stadt aus der ich komme (Sucre).
Mein Vater Mario ist seit 2 Wochen am Corona-Virus erkrankt und wurde wegen seines schwierigen Zustands bereits ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert. Wir sind sehr um seinen Gesundheitszustand sehr besorgt und organisieren uns so gut wir können.
Die Angehörigen eines Coronapatienten müssen für die gesamte Behandlung selbst aufkommen. Zum Beispiel müssen die medizinischen Sauerstoffflaschen, die Medikamente, der Transfer, die medizinischen Untersuchungen usw. vom Patienten und deren Angehörigen selbst organisiert und bezahlt werden. Wer Glück hat, findet ein Spitalbett, anderen bleibt nur ein Stuhl auf dem Flur oder das Zuhause ohne medizinische Unterstützung.
Durch die hohe Zahl der Corona-Fälle sind die Gesundheitskosten enorm gestiegen und im Verhältnis zum Lohn nicht mehr bezahlbar, ohne sich tief zu verschulden. So kostet zum Beispiel eine Sauerstoffflasche alleine schon 1.000 Dollar. Ohne Kontakte und Geld sind die gesamten Kosten fast unmöglich zu decken.
Ich bitte euch um eure Hilfe, damit wir unseren Vater in Bolivien bestmöglichst betreuen können und er wieder gesund wird!
Mein Vater, ein Mann mit Engagement, der sich sein ganzes Leben lang sozial engagiert und den Bedürftigen geholfen hat. Mit eurer Hilfe können wir ein Leben retten, damit er weiterhin anderen helfen kann.

The pandemic has left many traces and brought much suffering to the world. Many of you know personal stories and fates. We are all affected and have to take care of each other.
In the poorest countries with poor education and health systems, the pandemic is even more extreme. Like Bolivia in South America. After years of mismanagement, the health system is overloaded and everything is lacking: nursing staff, optimal medical care, hospital beds, oxygen and much more are scarce, even in the city I come from (Sucre).
My father Mario has been ill with the Corona virus for 2 weeks and has already been hospitalized because of his difficult condition. We are very worried about his health condition and organize ourselves as best we can.
The relatives of a corona patient have to pay for the entire treatment themselves. For example, the medical oxygen bottles, the medication, the transfer, the medical examinations etc. have to be organized and paid for by the patient and their relatives themselves. Those who are lucky find a hospital bed, others are left with a chair in the corridor or at home without medical assistance.
Due to the high number of corona cases, health costs have risen enormously and are no longer affordable in relation to wages without getting deeply into debt. For example, an oxygen cylinder alone costs 1,000 dollars. Without contacts and money, it is almost impossible to cover the entire costs.
I ask you for your help so that we can care for our father in Bolivia in the best possible way and he will get well again!

La pandemia ha dejado muchas huellas y ha traido mucho sufrimiento al mundo. Muchos de ustedes conocen destinos e historias personales. Todos estamos afectados y tenemos que cuidarnos los unos a los otros.
En los países más pobres con sistemas de educación y salud deficientes, la pandemia es aún más extrema. Al igual que en Bolivia en América del Sur. Después de años de mala gestión en Bolivia, el sistema de salud está sobrecargado y carente de todo. El personal de enfermería, atención médica óptima, camas de hospital, oxígeno y muchas otras cosas más son escasos, sobretodo en la ciudad de donde yo vengo (Sucre). Los parientes de un corona paciente tienen que pagar por todo el tratamiento ellos mismos. Sin contactos y dinero esto es imposible. Por ejemplo, las botellas de oxígeno médico, los medicamentos, el traslado del paciente, los exámenes médicos etc. tienen que ser organizados y pagados por el propio paciente. Los afortunados encuentran una cama de hospital, otros se quedan con una silla en el pasillo o en casa sin apoyo médico.
Debido al elevado número de casos de Corona, los precios de la atención de la salud han aumentado enormemente y ya no son asequibles en relación con los salarios sin endeudarse profundamente. Así que una botella de oxígeno cuesta 1000 dólares, sólo como ejemplo.
Un tratamiento optimo como en países de primer mundo no existe, sin embargo se está utilizando la transfusión de plasma (sangre de pacientes recuperados de Covid) para aumentar el número de anticuerpos en pacientes enfermos, además del uso de fármacos que son demasiado caros para comprar e incluso importar.
Nuestro padre Mario ha estado enfermo con el virus de la corona durante 2 semanas y ya fue ingresado en el hospital debido a su difícil condición. Estamos muy preocupados y nos organizamos cuanto podemos.
Un hombre con un compromiso social, que a lo largo de su vida ha ayudado a los más necesitados, con su ayuda podemos salvar una vida para que pueda continuar ayudando a los demás.
