Coronado Family Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My cousin and his family just lost everything they owned in a house fire on the evening of December 7th. They were upstairs when they heard explosions coming from downstairs. Their dryer caused an electrical fire. He tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher but it was no use.  [En español al fin de la pagina]

Thankfully they all  got out and are safe. But their house is a complete loss. It is too soon to know about insurance coverage. They went back today to see if they could salvage any clothes only to find they couldn't. Furniture, everything.

It's a total loss.

The good thing is that those are all posessions and they can be replaced. It will take time, and it will take a village, but they will rise from this.

Please be a part of this village and help them get back on their feet. Any small contribution you make can help. I know this is a really hard time to ask for money because of the holidays but every little bit helps. If every person who thinks "but I can only give a dollar (etc), it won't make a dent" just donates that small amount, it will definitely add up. Who knows, it could help buy them winter jackets or a stocking stuffer for the kids.

I cannot say this enough: every little bit helps.

Donations of items will certainly help in the future and we might be coordinating with that down the line but right now they need funds to just be able to take care of day-to-day things and to start piecing their lives back together.

Thank you for your donation and help spreading the word.

Victor Coronado Jr. (he's always just been Junior to me) and his wife Dalila Cruz have two young boys  (little Vic and Nick) who were able to escape the housefire safely.
They were living in (and had taken over payments of)
his mom's house in Tucson and are currently staying with his sister.

Me repito: cualquier donación ayuda.
