10 dancers aged between 13 and 20 from The Big Dance Company are walking, running and cycling 650 miles (the width of The Philippines) in order to fulfill their prestigious invitation to attend the Halili Cruz Dance School this summer. This is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to further their technical training and to perform at Asia’s largest theatre. Not only will this experience further their technical training and development and enhance their performance skills, but it also gives an amazing opportunity for cultural exchange and building lifelong friendships. This is no holiday - their schedule will occupy the vast majority of their time there, and will give them fantastic transferable skills that they can take into their careers, and bring back to Cornwall to share with their peers and students.

They are starting as they mean to go on and between them will be walking, running and cycling the (metaphorical) width of the Philippines between now and the summer. They will document their progress and post regular updates on here, as well as take part in community events, such as beach cleans and park runs in order to complete their mileage.
