Charity Ride for Nige

Dad loved many things. Walking, biking, his family, a good book, a cup of tea, oh and the occasional bowl of cornflakes!
My name is Isabel and on 21 May I am cycling 100 miles with a group of family and friends in a bid to raise £5,000 in memory of my Dad, Nigel Dunmore.
On 11 February 2021, on a morning just like any other, my Dad tragically died at home from a silent heart disease. We couldn’t save him, we had no idea how poorly his heart was. There were no warning signs.
Dad led an incredibly happy and active life which touched so many others, that much is for certain from all the kind messages and support our family has received. He leaves a huge hole behind. To celebrate his memory and how he lived life to the fullest, I am fundraising for a memorial bench, on my bike by pedalling 100 miles from Rothley in Leicestershire to Old Hunstanton in Norfolk - a place special to our family where we share many memories. I hope a memorial bench will provide a reflective and peaceful place where family and friends can go. The bench will cost £1,000. Alongside this, I will donate the rest of the funds raised (hopefully £4,000) to the amazing work of Heart Research UK so that we can prevent this tragedy from happening to other families and raise awareness of how silent and devastating a killer heart disease can be.
Please give as generously as you can, any support will be hugely appreciated. If we can make the fundraising total, I will celebrate making it to Old Hunstanton Beach with a cup of tea and a bowl of corn flakes in hand
- just as Dad would like!
