Help Cornelius Get Life-Saving Surgery
We’re raising funds to help my brother’s cat, Cornelius, get urgent surgery after a scary health emergency.
Cornelius recently suffered a full urinary blockage, and the vets discovered his bladder is filled with undissolvable stones. The only way to help him is through a cystotomy surgery—a procedure to remove the stones and give him relief from the pain he’s been in.
My brother has had Cornelius and his twin sister since they were just weeks old. As twins ourselves, it’s always been a funny, fitting coincidence that he ended up with a pair of feline twins too. They’ve been his companions through everything and are truly part of the family.
Cornelius isn’t just sweet—he’s also full of personality and a knack for getting himself into trouble. When he was a kitten, he nearly strangled himself in a piece of string, later broke into the fishing lure box and hooked his own lip, and during a weekend I cat-sat him, he got so anxious he ended up in the hospital for constipation. He’s always keeping us on our toes, and somehow manages to charm everyone even when he’s causing chaos.
Unfortunately, my brother is on ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program) and can’t afford the cost of surgery or qualify for traditional financing. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Cornelius’s surgery, medication, and recovery care so he can get back home to his sister and back to his usual antics.
Cornelius has brought so much laughter and comfort into our lives. With your help, we can make sure he gets the chance to keep doing that for many years to come.
If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean the world to our family. ❤️
Thank you so much for your kindness and support,
