Honoring the Life of Cornelius 'CRAIG' Rogers

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorry that we share the unexpected passing of our loved one Cornelius 'CRAIG' Rogers who departed this life on September 25th, 2025 at the age of 56 years old.

Cornelius’s health battle began in 2017 with his first brain surgery, after which he suffered a stroke. Despite this, he faced life with courage and resilience. Earlier this year, his condition became more severe and required transfer to the Cleveland Clinic for an emergency surgery, following a 2nd surgery attempt within two weeks. During the final procedure, surgeons were unable to fully remove the tumor due to severe bleeding and its proximity to vital veins. Cornelius also experienced strokes that caused irreversible damage to the part of his brain responsible for wakefulness. Based on these complications, the surgical team determined that further attempts at removal were not safe.

But Cornelius was much more than his illness. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, sibling, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who loved his family deeply. He touched the hearts of many with his undeniable charisma, infectious smile, contagious laughter, phenomenal pool playing, impeccable style, loud talking(IYKYK), humor, and his generosity. He was also the BABY of the family who knew how to execute that role like none other(IYKYK). Cornelius loved spending time with family and friends, eating, playing poker, pool, and creating lasting memories. Sadly, one of his grandchildren was born while he was hospitalized, and he never got the chance to meet her.

This loss was sudden and heartbreaking, leaving our family unprepared to cover funeral and burial expenses. We are asking for your support to honor Cornelius’s life and provide him with a dignified farewell.
