Corina’s Brain Cancer Battle: Help Support the Rochons

Many of you know and love Corina—an incredible nurse, wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, mentor, and passionate advocate. She has touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for others. Now, she needs our help.

On January 10, 2025, Corina was diagnosed with an aggressive brain and sinus cancer. Just a week later, on January 17, she underwent a 10-hour emergency surgery at VGH to remove a tumour the size of her fist. Unfortunately, this week, Corina and her family learned that the tumor is rare and aggressive, meaning she now faces an intense battle, including chemotherapy and radiation. They are still waiting for further details from the BC Cancer Agency regarding the type and stage of the cancer.

Throughout this unimaginable ordeal, Corina’s husband and family have remained by her side. As she prepares for the difficult road ahead, we, her friends and colleagues, are coming together to ease the financial burden this illness will bring. Corina will be unable to work for months, and we want to ensure her family can focus on what truly matters—her healing.
