Corey’s Stage 4 Cancer Battle
As everyone pretty much knows, Corey was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer that spread to his lymph nodes in 2018. He fell ill in Alaska and went to the Dr. in which they were surprised he was still alive with how low his hemoglobin count was! His wife, Lindsey, knew that CTC OF America in Phoenix, AZ was the best place for his treatments.
What most don’t know, is that Corey was in the middle of a battle with his insurance and paid cash for all his cancer treatments for pretty much the whole year! He had to pull money from savings and anywhere else he could to keep his treatments constant.
After 1 year of treatments and a major 13 hour surgery, he was declared in remission due to not finding any detectable cancer cells remaining. However, by his first post cancer checkup, they found that the cancer had returned inside his lungs. They informed him that because the cancer was in the lymph system, it will remain in his blood and continue to attack his body for the remainder of his life. He is currently receiving treatment again and has to take chemo pills everyday to keep the cancer at bay.
This go fund me is to help my Dad with the harsh blow he received after having to pay cash out of pocket for the first year of treatments and to help withthe costs of his pills and remaining treatments. A lot of people have been asking our family if we wouldbe setting this up for him, and I decided to do so to help him and Lindsey with these costly expenses. We want Corey here for a long time and will do anything in our power to do so! From the Rudolph Family to you, THANK YOU.
