Hello My name is Michelle I’m reaching out in support of my fiancé Corey Boyer who was in a horrific hit and run accident. On July 3 he was on his motorcycle and was hit by a 17 year old that was not legally allowed to be on the road. The vehicle he was driving belonged to his aunt and uncle and had lapsed in insurance.After striking Corey and causing bodily injury he fled the scene while leaving the car in the middle

of the road. The surveillance video shows the 17 year old cutting Corey off making a left hand turn, then running from the accident. The video is heartbreaking to watch and to see the individual who caused the accident not even attempt to help shows the lack of remorse for his actions . This happened on a Main Street with many witnesses but the police report does not reflect any witness statements. The police did not document the drivers birthday nor the accurate address. My fiancé suffered a broken pelvis in his sacrum and pubis, suffered a urethra injury that caused him to need a catheter for 3 weeks,( still don’t know what lasting damage it may have caused) hematoma in his scrotum, broken fibula, and crushed metatarsals bones in his foot that needed to be operated on and metal rods and screws. Because of the lack of insurance on the drivers part and after our insurance our family is now responsible for $100,000’s in medical expenses. Corey is suffering physically and mentally . With these extensive injuries he will be out of work for at least 6 months. As we all know life continues regardless of circumstance. Our family has been left to struggle emotionally, physically, and financially while this person is not being held accountable for his actions.Please help us make this public and ease the burden for Corey and his urge to get back to work and support his family and help him focus on getting better . #coreyboyer
