Family and friends,
As many of you know, on March 21st, my husband was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident in which he sustained severe injuries. That morning he joined other riders for what was supposed to be a beautiful trip along the coast, however; he never made it. Instead, he was rushed to the nearest hospital in critical condition. Unable to predict the outcome, doctors couldn’t give us an accurate prognosis. He remained in the surgical intensive care unit for a few weeks, before being transferred to a hospital closer to home. During the last week of April, he was accepted into an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Vallejo, CA, where he worked with a physical, occupational, and speech therapist.
After some very difficult months, Corey is finally home and continuing his journey to recovery. As a result of his injuries, he is having to relearn and strengthen many basic life skills (e.g. walking). With an uncertain future ahead, raising funds would significantly help ease the financial burden our family is facing during these unexpected times. The road to recovery is going to be long but we have faith that he will make a full recovery. However, to make this happen, he needs intense physical therapy, which unfortunately is not covered by insurance and is very costly.
Corey is an amazing husband and loving father to four young children. He is determined to regain the ability to walk and is deeply motivated by thought of one day being able to run and play with his babies again. Corey is a humble, hardworking, and kind-hearted person. To know him is to love him. All prayers and donations are greatly appreciated.
