Corey’s Cancer Aid

Hi, my name is Hannah and I’m the oldest of Corey’s four children. We live in Phillipsburg, Kansas, and my father was diagnosed with MDS (pre-leukemia) in early 2021. At first, the appointments and chemo didn’t seem real- my father’s appearance & attitude never changed. Now, he’s looking at some of the most aggressive chemo out there, numerous blood transfusions, & a bone marrow transplant of which my brother is the donor. The upcoming process, which we hope will allow my father to continue living to watch his children and grandchildren grow up, is going to be time consuming and expensive. He will spend months continuously in Kansas City, away from his home & farm, and has to have a caregiver with him at all hours- this caregiver will likely be a rotation of incredible family & friends. My dad is a proud man who doesn’t ask for help, but we know that our community & the kindness of strangers will help support our family in this time of need.

Tentative start date for these procedures is late October, so getting a start on financial help is the best way we know to prepare for what’s coming.
