Corey's Recovery Fund

On Tuesday, January 30th at approximately 9:45 p.m., Corey Leftridge was a victim of a home invasion that resulted in him being stabbed multiple times.  Corey is currently at Riverside Methodist Hospital recovering from a successful surgery that repaired severe lacerations to his left leg that severed his achilles  tendon, two more tendons and a nerve that may lead to permenant damage.  All things considered, Corey is in relatively good spirits but has a long road ahead with rehabilitation.  The doctors said it could be as long as 2 years before he is fully healed.   At present, Corey does not have the financial means to relocate and plans to return to the apartment where he was attacked.  

As Corey's best friend, I went to his place to pick up a few things for him and was extremely disturbed by the sight of all the blood that was inside his doorway and outside his stoop.  It will NOT be healthy for him to return to that apartment and relive that trauma.  I am asking for your help to raise money to help Corey with his medical costs for rehab and relocation.  As of today, 2/3/18, we anticipate that he will remain in the hospital for a few more days and then will be transferred into an inpatient rehabilitation facility.  Corey most likely will not be able to return to work this year and will have ongoing needs for support. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
