With the passing of Corey and James' mother, Lauren, our family has created a college fund for both boys. Growing up with an addict mother, and uninvolved fathers, the boys have been doing so well in the care of their grandmother. We want Corey and James to know that they can create whatever life they want no matter what their beginnings were like. Any donation helps, thank you to those who partner with us on sending these sweet boys to college, and thank you to those who partner with us on spreading the news about this cause!
We created 529 College Savings Plans for Lauren's sons Corey and James at Fidelity Investments. A 529 plan is an education savings plan sponsored by a state or state agency. Savings can be used for tuition, books, and other education-related expenses at most accredited two- and four-year colleges and universities, U.S. vocational-technical schools, and eligible foreign institutions. Savings may also be used for tuition expenses at eligible public, private, and religious primary and secondary educational institutions (K-12). In recent years, we have seen the cost of college tuition and books rise significantly and the trend is likely to continue. We are hoping the college savings fund combined will supplement the high costs of a college education.
