Tonight, (9/27/2020)Corey was in a dirt bike riding accident that resulted in him breaking his knee cap along with other minor injuries. Although Corey has been riding since he was a kid, we recently purchased a new dirt bike. This was his first ride out on the bike right behind our house. As he was coming up a hill the front tire completely seized which threw him over the handle bars. I’ll be forever grateful he was in full gear and wearing his helmet (like always.) Luckily someone saw the crash and was able to call 911 and he was taken by ambulance. Unfortunately our town did not have an emergency orthopedic surgeon on call so he was transferred by ambulance 2 hours away to Las Vegas. He will receive surgery in the morning following up with a lot of physical therapy. As a lot of you know Corey is our bread winner. He is a firefighter and will have to take time off of work to heal and stay off of his knee. We do have health insurance but with surgery, PT and multiple ambulance rides- we need help. We know times are so hard for everyone but truly any little bit counts or just a share. Thank you all for all your support. ❤️
