I am fundraising for my sister, My nephew was diagnosed about 3 months ago with "Desmoplastic small round cells Sarcoma" which is a rare disease with no known cure, But we have faith and are praying for a healing.

What are desmoplastic small round cell tumors?

Desmoplastic small round cell tumors, or DSRCT, are tumors that grow in the abdomen and pelvic area of the body. Desmoplastic small round cell tumors are a type of soft tissue sarcoma, which is a type of cancer that forms in the connective tissue of the body. Connective tissues include fat, muscles, tendons, lymph and blood vessels, and nerves.

How common are desmoplastic small round cell tumors?

DSRCT is very rare. DSRCT occurs most often in young white males between the ages of 10 and 30. Some reports say that only about 200 cases of DSRCT have been recorded since the cancer was first described in 1989.

This disease has attached itself to my nephews mddle back and has grown since diagnosis, with that being said, my sister had to discontinue working because of the ongoing Dr. Appointments and Hospital stays. Which is causing a financial strain on her.

I am trying my best to fill in or arrive at majority of the Dr appointments for support as well as taking shifts at the Hospital overnight stays.

This has been a new norm mentally, physically and especially financially. I have helped financially in many ways as well as my mother, but it's only so much we can do. I generaly never ask for help but today I am for the sake of Corey. Corey is 16 and has 3 younger sisters and a brother that love him dearly.
