Corey Dill Hospital and Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Late Tuesday, October 19th, Corey Dill and his band Brother Moses were on tour and playing a show in Dallas, Texas. About 30 minutes before their set, Corey spotted a man breaking into their tour van outside the venue. He tried to chase down the thief, and was successful in catching up to him, but they had already reached a getaway car that was waiting for them in an alley. Corey was then attacked and subsequently hit by the car while the driver made an escape. He sustained several injuries, including a pelvic fracture, broken clavicle, and multiple fractures to bones in his face. Internal damage is still being discovered and treated carefully by a highly capable hospital staff.

Corey is stable and recovering at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas (an excellent facility) but he will be undergoing a number of surgeries to address his injuries. We have been told his life is not in danger and that it could have been much worse, but it’s clear that he will be in the hospital for at least another week, and at this time not much is known about how lengthy and difficult his recovery period might be.

Due to the multiple surgeries, the overwhelming nature of the injuries Corey has sustained, and the unknown amount of time he will be hospitalized and receiving care, we are asking for help to support him and his wife Geneva. Any estimates of the cost of Corey’s care that we’ve heard have varied wildly. The fear is that it could end up in the six figures, thus the goal of $100,000 for now. There are so many unknowns in this situation and unfortunately no one can adequately prepare for this kind of sudden financial burden in their late twenties, especially while trying to develop a career playing music. Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated.

If you prefer to donate in any other way (travel points, gift cards, etc), please reach out to Elliott Althoff (Brother Moses Band Manager) via the email contact button below and we will find a way for you to help contribute.

Please send all your love, prayers, and good energy to Corey and his people. If you know him, you know he's the toughest person on the planet and we've got no doubt he's strong enough to get through this.

Updates to come as we learn more about the recovery of Corey. Thank you for your support.
