Collaborando insieme da molti anni, ci è sembrato questo il momento giusto per fissare su CD una serie di brani inediti che stiamo registrando principalmente a Roma (con Alessandro Guardia all’AlfaMusic Studio), e in altre città come Bologna, Catanzaro, Torino, Lisbona e Brasília. PROPRIO QUESTO GRANDE SFORZO PRODUTTIVO RENDE IL SUPPORTO AL PROGETTO DA PARTE DI TUTTI VOI DAVVERO FONDAMENTALE!

Il disco, il cui titolo è Cores da lua [Colori della luna], conterrà 13 canzoni le cui musiche sono state composte da Giovanni Guaccero su testi di vari autori brasiliani (soprattutto Luís Elói Stein, e poi Maria Lúcia Verdi e Gilson Silveira), e anche di autori italiani (Priscilla Bei e lo stesso Giovanni).

Oltre a noi – Roberta Piccirillo alla voce e Giovanni Guaccero al pianoforte –, il gruppo base è completato da Andrea Colella al contrabbasso e Bruno Marcozzi alla batteria e alle percussioni.

Nel CD saranno presenti anche vari ospiti della scena brasiliana e italiana, quali Fred Martins e Tatiana Valle alle voci, Gabriele Coen ai sax, Henrique Neto alla chitarra 7 corde, Barbara Piperno ai flauti, Gilson Silveira alle percussioni, Francesco Maria Parazzoli al violoncello, Valeria Piccirillo al violino e Valério Xavier al cavaquinho e pandeiro. Per la copertina ci avvarremo del contributo dell’artista visivo brasiliano Marcelo Guimarães Lima.

I brani, cantati in parte in portoghese e in parte in italiano, sono legati alla nostra reinterpretazione stilistica della musica brasiliana, e si muovono tra generi quali choro, samba, bossa nova e MPB, con la presenza anche di influenze jazzistiche.

Partecipando a questo crowdfunding avrete modo di accedere ad una serie di premi, dall’acquisto del cd fisico ad altro ancora. Having worked together for many years, it seemed the right time to gather on a CD a series of unreleased songs that we are recording in Rome (with Alessandro Guardia at AlfaMusic Studio) as well as and in Bologna, Catanzaro, Turin, Lisbon and Brasília. IT IS PRECISELY BECAUSE OF THIS MAJOR PRODUCTION EFFORT THAT SUPPORT FOR THE PROJECT FROM ALL OF YOU IS TRULY FUNDAMENTAL!

The CD, entitled Cores da lua [Colors of the moon], will contain 13 songs, the music of which was composed by Giovanni Guaccero based on lyrics by various Brazilian authors such as Luís Elói Stein, and then Maria Lúcia Verdi and Gilson Silveira, and also Italian authors like Priscilla Bei and Giovanni himself.

In addition to the two of us – Roberta Piccirillo on vocals and Giovanni Guaccero on piano – the basic group includes Andrea Colella on double bass and Bruno Marcozzi on drums and percussions.

But the CD will also feature several guests from the Brazilian and Italian music scene, such as Fred Martins and Tatiana Valle on vocals, Gabriele Coen on sax, Henrique Neto on 7-string guitar, Barbara Piperno on flutes, Gilson Silveira on percussion, Francesco Maria Parazzoli on cello, Valeria Piccirillo on violin and Valério Xavier on cavaquinho and pandeiro. The cover will be contributed by the Brazilian visual artist, Marcelo Guimarães Lima.

The songs, sung partly in Portuguese and partly in Italian, are linked to our stylistic reinterpretation of Brazilian music genres such as choro, samba, bossa nova and MPB, compounded by jazz influences.
