Tom Spiby - Writer / Actor

Tom is an Actor/Musician/Writer, and a recent graduate of the Flinders Drama Centre ('23). Having worked across both theatre and film - and playing in a live touring band (Noasis), Tom is a keen storyteller and performer, inspired by captivating narratives. His deep love for both music and film birthed his debut short screenplay - “CORE”.

“CORE” is a raw and resonate coming-of-age short about chasing greatness when the odds are stacked against you. It is being produced entirely by South Australian based Artists and Creatives, and will be showcasing both nationally and internationally.

Plot-line:

Noah, a gifted but under-resourced musician, works a dead-end job to support his struggling single mother - until a chance encounter offers him a shot at the country’s top music academy. But with no money, gear or support, Noah’s dream seems to slip through his fingers. Refusing to accept defeat, he makes one last desperate attempt to prove he belongs - and risks everything in the process.
