CORDELL'S LAST RIDE HOME
Donation protected
In the late hours of April 19, 2017, Cordell Wiser lost his 12 year battle with cancer. That night we lost a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He has left such great love and memories in all of our hearts and is going to be dearly missed. My Dads last wish was that he could have one last ride on his beloved motorcycle. You see, as a young man Cordell was denied the ability to serve his country for medical reasons and this did not sit well with him as he got older. He always wanted the chance to do his part and one day he heard of a group called the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR). A 100% volunteer, non-profit organization, the PGR ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heros, Veterans and First Responders by escorting funeral processions, forming flag lines at memorials, welcoming home soldiers that are returning from deployment and so much more. This was his chance to stand for those that have stood for us. Cordell dedicated almost all of his free time to this cause over the years. Unfortunately about two years ago Cordell became too weak to ride his bike, but he wouldn't let that stop him, he continued to do what he could in his car until he could no longer drive. So back to Cordell's last wish, one last ride. My brother and I are going to transport his ashes on his bike with a PGR escort from California to Northern Utah where he will be laid to rest with his parents and other family. The funds raised here are going to pay to get his bike back in roadworthy condition, funeral costs, transportation for the rest of his family, lodging, etc. and to help with the medical bills that have not yet arrived. The 12 year battle has not been cheap and any help that is given will be forever remembered and cherished.
