The Corbitts Need a Helping Hand
Donation protected
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Josh Corbitt. I am married to the love of my life, Erica Corbitt, and between the two of us, and together, we have 5 beautiful and amazing kids ranging in age from 3-21.
We are, perhaps, not your average or "normal" southern family, but we come by who we are and all that we have honestly, and with a lot of hard work. Love is never lacking in our home, I can say that with all confidence. However, like so many others it seems these days, we find ourselves in a spot where we could really use some help from our friends, family, and extended network and family of friends.
My wife and I both work - we are a two-income household and generally, even with 5 kids (one in college and one in pre-school) we do well enough to make ends meet and not lack anything major, especially for our kids.
However, recently my wife went into the hospital, and was there for about a week. This hospitalization resulted in lost wages in the amount of $1,200, and my wife does not have short-term disability or injury/hospitalization insurance, tho we do have medical insurance.
In addition to the lost wages, our insurance company and hospital are estimating we will have a few thousand dollars in medical co-payments and bills for services rendered, the rooms, etc. There were extra expenses too, with traveling back and forth to the hospital for visitations, grabbing food on the go so as to be at all available visiting hours, etc.
I find myself to be behind the 8-Ball, as they say, financially. Again, I'm not usually the guy who looks to the world with his hands out, but I've several times been the guy to try and help others. I am hoping some of that will come back around, and that my family and I will find some helping hands out there willing to carry us through this tough time.
I should mention that we have an amazing network of friends, and I'd like to thank all that have come together to help with childcare for our youngest while this has all been happening. We really do have some great family, by blood and by choice. We love y'all.
Please, if you are able, we could really use help right now. If you're not comfortable giving through GoFundMe, I do have a Paypal account, and the email attached to it is [email redacted]. You could also hit me up via text or Facebook or whatever if you wanted to offer other help or you just wanted to send us some good thoughts, well wishes, or prayers. We appreciate everything.
Thank you all in advance, and if you don't mind, please share this fundraiser and get it going around as much as possible.
