Cora's Path to Safety: A Car for a New Start

Hello!

My name is Cora, and I just escaped a really abusive marriage. He raped me, cheated on me, verbally abused me, emotionally abused me, financially abused me… He stole any money I had during our 5-year marriage as well as gave me no access to any funds until way later in our marriage and even then, I was heavily controlled. I was alone in another state across the country with no family, so I was forced to stay essentially. He wouldn't help me with my car, and over time, it just kept deteriorating. He let his friends sit on it, wouldn't help me financially or help me take it in to get checked. I can't read my gas or use my windshield wipers, my hood won't lock, etc. It's a danger trap. (He even threatened to smash the windshield and told me the cops couldnt do anything)

Well, I finally left! But my car is in terrible shape… it's a salvaged title and it is going to take so much money to fix it. So I am hoping to get myself a used car off of Carvana. I'm just trying to get something reliable with 4-wheel drive to help get me to and from school!

I am restarting my life from the ground up and any help is truly appreciated.
