Hello,

My name is Coralie. In July 2026, I am going to attempt to swim a solo crossing of the English Channel... you may ask yourself why? Well because this has been a dream of mine since I was teenager and I finally have the opportunity to attempt to swim it on my own. In July 2023, I swam as part of 4 person relay and in July 2024 I swam as part of a 6 person relay but both have left me wanting more.

I am raising money for two charities that are close to my heart. Firstly RNLI, if fact that we live on an island and we don't nationally fund the lifeboat service like the police, fire service and ambulance seems crazy to me. As someone who loves the sea, I am relieved to know that the Lifeboat is there if anything was to happen. Secondly, Space2 Leeds. I have worked for Space2 for the last 3 years. It is an arts and social change charity, I get to see every week how important what they do is. Using art and creativity to support people to have a fulfilling and celebrated life. Art brings pleasure, a sense of fulfilment and belonging. It helps us better understand the world and can bring people together and provoke shared emotions, even compassion for others.
