Hello Friends and Family,
On behalf of Douglas this is Eryn(girlfriend) andZeny(sister) are here to share his story with you and ask for your support as his journey continues.
What started out as mixing up his left and right turned into much more as his memory began to fail him. As his memory got worst his speech slowly was giving out as well. It wasnt until a Friday at work that things turned to the worst, as a simple everyday routine at work like clocking in he was not able to overcome nor was he capable of performing any task. The most alarming to follow this event was his inability to remember or say his girlfriends name, where he lived and his own birthday. After the first hospital visit he was immediatly called back the following day to the ER where we were told that Douglas had a Mass on his Brain and would need to be transferred to a neurosurgen in Redwood City. Many more CT scans and MRI's were followed and from there we were told it was cancer and would take a miracle for the biopsy to say otherwise. A miracle it was; the biopsy came back that Douglas has a unusal and rare Hemorrhage. So grateful its not cancer, however this does not mean Douglas is out of the woods yet; there are many more test and thearpy he will be undergoing. This hemorrhage means he suffered from a stroke and the risk of having another stroke is high. There has also been sever damage to his brain affecting his memory and speech, the hope is for him to begin thearpy where he can retrain that part of his mind. With the more test that are to come, some of which will be to locate a possible aneurysm. With this being said its important to know that Douglas has had five relatives pass away from an aneurysm we want to do everything we can to prevent him from becoming the sixth. So please we are asking for your support to help secure Douglas current+future medical expenses we dont want to suffer the loss of losing him when we are trying to take all the right actions. Any donation will help towards Douglas getting the care he needs to prevent him from becoming the sixth!
Thank You, God Bless
