Fight alongside Brady
Donation protected
Brady and his twin brother, Cooper, were born through an emergency c-section on Monday, July 27, 2015. Cooper lived for just 37 minutes and Brady went into the NICU in critical condition. It was over the next few days and weeks when we all learned that Brady was a fighter, just like his mother, Katie.

Brady has been plagued with medical issues since before he was even born. He was not yet 1 1/2 months old when he had his first brain surgery.

At 8 months, he developed a hemangioma in his throat that blocked 99% of his airway and required the emergency placement of a breathing tube, but that wasn’t even enough to keep him stable. Additionally, Brady had to be sedated and paralyzed for a week while the breathing tube was in so that he would not displace the tube through his movements.

In order to bypass the tumor and provide a more stable option for Brady to breathe, a tracheostomy tube was put in. With the trach, they were able to bring Brady out of sedation in this magical moment here.
Brady requires a nighttime nurse, which allows his mothers some sleep so that they are able to work their full-time jobs. Due to his medical issues, Brady’s daycare will not allow him to return. The tumor in his throat is gone, but the build up of scar tissue in his throat has caused complications that require the trach to stay in for now.

This hard-working family has so much support and love from their friends and family, but is struggling financially due to medical costs and loss of wages. Brady has spent about 100 days in intensive care in the PICU and the NICU over 3 different visits in his 300 days of life.

If we can band together to help out this family with their financial stress, we can alleviate some of the pain and anxiety that they have experienced over the past year. If we can spread this call to action, perhaps we can give them the money they need to have consistent and reliable care for Brady during the day when his moms must work. Temporary financial relief would be great. Long-term relief would be even better.
Money donated here will be used for:
· Future medical costs, which likely includes another brain surgery.
· Home nursing care and daycare costs
· To make up for lost wages for time off work to spend in the hospital with Brady.
The family has only agreed to this campaign as long as they are able to donate as much as 10% of all money collected to the Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation.
Direct donations to this foundation can be made here.
