Hello everyone. On behalf of my partner and I, we come here for your support in hopes of raising just a few funds to help aid in our poor boy's hit and run incident last night.
My boy was working with my partner on the car that night, and without realising, we had gone back inside to get some dinner on not knowing he was out by the car still.
Can't blame him, but he decided to go for wander down the footpath of the main road we live on. He knows to not go on the road, and he prefers not to anyway as he likes to have a sniff around the footpath.
Coming up to his dinner time, we had called out for him inside yet he never came. Upon realising that he was most likely outside, we had rushed out and began yelling his name.
To our surprise, we could hear his little feet carrying him home. He made his way up to the front verandah, until we noticed blood was coming out of him like no tomorrow.
We had assumed the best and thought he had hurt his foot on something along the way. But as we followed the blood upwards, the entirety of his shoulder was completely split in two. We immediately rushed to the vet as quick as we could trying desperately to call any number that would help him. We were fortunate enough to get a hold of a local vet who was happy to help our boy. After many long hours, our boy was finally awake after his surgery and was completely exhausted as we were. On returning home, we had found his collar exactly where we thought It would be. Way off from the road by the scrub smashed into pieces with still the remains of left over skin. He remains with us close by day and night, 24/7, making sure we don't lose him. Because of this, he is up all night trying to get himself to sleep, but can't do so because of the shear pain and discomfort he is in.
