Eye’d do anything for Cooper

For those who know me, you’ve probably seen the devotion I have for my little floof ball, Cooper. I rescued him in February 2021 from a negligent situation when he was suffering from unmanaged diabetes. At the time of his diagnosis, he had already lost most of his eye sight and about 30% of his body weight.

The past two years have been a doozy but let’s just say, he’s a totally different dog now! His health is being managed but things have started to change for Cooper’s eye sight. A common occurrence with diabetes are cataracts, which can lead to glaucoma. His path has taken a turn and well….Coopy is in need of an enucleation of his right eye. For my non-veterinary friends, that means he needs his right eye removed. This procedure is medically necessary to alleviate his pain which is at this point like having a constant migraine.

Cooper is 9 years old and still has a ton of life left in him! That is why I’m asking for help in this difficult decision because ya know I’d do anything for this dog that I’ve saved once already.

I’m going to give Cooper another fighting chance. I believe that nothing will stop him from being the little punk that he is..not even losing an eye! (I can’t wait to dress him as a pirate for Halloween after all of this).

Thank you for your time. Please consider helping by donating for Cooper’s eye surgery on February 6th.
