Cooper is my sweet 4 1/2 year old black Lab. Anyone that knows him, knows he's the sweetest, most loving dog there is. He was recently shot by a pellet gun in his left side. The pellet went through his stomach and diaphragm and attempted to exit the right side of his body. The surgery was successful, but he then got an infection that caused him to become septic. He was so lucky to have made it through that. Now, he has pancreatitis, edema, and cellulitis. All of those things are putting him at risk for infection and sepsis again. The doctors have been amazing and so helpful through this time, but the costs are increasing quickly and we are starting to struggle. I want to give Cooper every chance he can get. He's my baby. My first dog that I raised and trained myself. He never deserved this. We have no idea who shot him, but the laws don't really help with the matter. Please, if you have any desire to donate to anything animal related, help us continue to give Cooper the best care he can get. Also, if at any point, we raise more than the costs for Cooper, we will donate the excess to another animal in need or a humane society of some sort. We will be forever grateful for any assistance we receive.
