We, at Cooper's Corner, are passionate about spreading awareness about Trigeminal Neuralgia, a devastating nerve condition which causes chronic excruciating pain in the face.  It is also known as "The Suicide Disease".  There is NO cure.  While, treatment options are available, not everyone is a candidate and many are left dealing with unbearable and unrelenting pain.  

The recent changes in healthcare legislation have made the ability to receive adequate pain management next to impossible.  Trigeminal Neuralgia is drastically underfunded and under studied, therefore, there are few healthcare providers who are familiar with just how serious the pain can be.  And with the crackdown on prescribing opioid pain medication, fewer doctors are willing to do so.  Therefore, chronic pain sufferers are often mislabeled as "drug seekers" or are left with no form of relief.

As a group, we are dedicated to help change the perception of the chronic pain patient and spread awareness and educate people about what Trigeminal Neuralgia is.  We plan to do this by producing a documentary about what life is like with this disease; what it's like for our caregivers; how our healthcare providers treat our breakthrough pain; how we are treated in emergency room during a pain crisis; how the decrease in prescribing pain medication has affected each of us.  We hope to get this documentary into the hands of those who make decisions regarding medical research and funding and those who pass legislation on the issues of pain medication and other forms of pain management.

Your donation will go directly to help us fund this production.  This includes, but is not limited to, equipment rental, travel expenses, gas,  food and lodging, editing, computer software, and promotion expenses.  Additional expenses pertaining to the documentary may arise as necessary.
