Brett was diagnosed with large B cell diffused lymphoma back in April after finding a large mass in his small bowels. He has been in and out of the hospital numerous times due to complications that have come up with fighting this cancer. He has started 2 different chemo regiments and had stem cells taken for a stem cell transplant , but the cancer is not subsiding, so they want to do some immunotherapy treatments and a car-t cell transplant. This is a new treatment that has a lot of success in putting patients in remission. You have to stay where you get the procedure for 1 month. We are not sure if it will be done locally or at another hospital at this point.
