Hello. My name is Cooper Pupp. I am trying to raise funds for recent medical bills that have been incurred.
I was generously sponsored by the Los Angeles Rams, who made my adoption from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, subsequent training with Shelter to Soldier, and placement with my U.S. Army veteran a reality! I trained for almost a year before meeting my handler and best friend, Brandon Shelton and my mom, Brittany. I have visited so many places and done so many things since I was rescued. I have been able to make friends all over Southern California, including my namesake, Cooper Kupp and the rest of the Rams players and cheerleaders, before making a home in Colorado, where I have been enjoying the snow!
I recently had to be taken to the ER! There was some blood when I went to the bathroom, so my handler took me to be seen. It was discovered that my abdomen was full of blood and I had a mass larger than a softball on my liver! My mom and dad were super scared but got me into surgery quickly to save my life! I ended up having my spleen removed, most of my liver removed and will be starting chemotherapy in the next couple of weeks. Surgery was pretty tough on me because my blood wasn't clotting, but I made it through and am feeling much better! Mom and Dad could use some help with the expenses of my surgery and treatment. I would be so appreciative of any help, just like mom and dad!
With paws and kisses! -Cooper Pupp
