This fundraiser is for my dear friend Marcy Cooper and her husband Don Cooper.

Marcy was diagnosed with Cancer a little over a year ago but was blessed enough to become part of a medical study at UCSF hospital in San Francisco and so far the treatment is helping prolong her life and her time with her grandchildren Kylie and Carson. Her trips to the Bay Area for her cancer treatments are costly with gas, tolls, parking and sometimes overnight stays. Her family and friends have managed to defray these costs for her first year of treatment but the experimental treatment is part a two year study and now Marcy has a new challenge. Her husband Don was admitted to the hospital a little over a week ago and will not be coming home. He has been placed in facility care on hospice.

There are no words to describe the feeling of helplessness when a friend in need, has so much on their plate. Although I cannot change God’s will, I know I can change Marcy’s ability to overcome some of the monetary challenges she will be facing in the coming months. I know that Marcy has touched many people’s lives and her own charitable work as a longtime member of the LDS church has her now needing help as opposed to always giving help.
