Celebrate Oasis! 6 yrs African Methodist Mission

Oasis Global United Methodist Mission is celebrating their 6th anniversary as a United Methodist congregation in Dallas, TX. This vibrant multi-cultural fellowship worships in genuine energetic African-style and welcomes everyone!

In their 6th year, the Oasis mission ministry grew stronger through the development of new programs for children and youth, men and women and Friday evening Family Fellowships. When in-person fellowship wasn’t allowed because of the pandemic, members stepped up in leadership to continue the ministry in a new and exciting way. Now Oasis affinity groups are meeting online every evening and all-day Sunday and continuing to reach out to those looking for a spiritual community.

This Anniversary will also usher in a time of change because their founding pastor, leader and friend, Rev. Mary Miriti, will be deployed as a military chaplain with the US Army. She will be serving overseas for more than a year. With this additional unexpected challenge in 2020, the Oasis community assured Rev. Mary that they would be praying for her, caring for her family and keep Oasis vibrant and growing during her absence.

We’re excited that the Oasis Board of Directors has raised $8700 to match your gifts, dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your gift to Oasis.
