CALLING ALL OTF FAMILY.  WE NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER.

Connor Cook is an elite baseball player and excellent student at Centennial High School, as well as one of our very own OTF athletes.  However, academic and athletic endeavors only scratch the surface of what he’s currently handling - Connor is standing alongside his mom, Shelby Cook, as she battles one of life's toughest opponents...Stage 4 cancer.  Shelby was diagnosed in May of 2018, and has been fighting full force ever since - she’s undergone multiple surgeries, made countless trips to hospitals across the country, and has been through various forms of aggressive treatment.  We know how tight-knit our community is here at OFFTHEFIELD, and we feel strongly that no family of our own should ever have to face a situation like this alone. As the cancer continues to progress, our support becomes increasingly important.

Even despite their circumstances, Shelby and the entire Cook family have faced adversity with nothing but resilience and grace - never once have they asked for pity or allowed their situation to hinder them.  In fact, an outsider would never guess what Connor was dealing with beyond training. During his workouts at OFFTHEFIELD, he has continued to lead his peers through his incredible work ethic and positive demeanor.  The Cook family truly is an inspiration to us, and we know they’ll inspire the rest of the OTF community as well.

Although they would never ask for help, it’s time for the OTF community to offer exactly that. With Connor heading to Big Bend Community College to continue his baseball career, his younger sister Hailey approaching college, and their extensive list of medical expenses..the sum of their financial burden is significant.  Any amount of stress we can take off their shoulders will allow them to focus on what really matters - helping Shelby win her battle against cancer.

We have launched this GoFundMe page to raise money for the Cook family - any amount makes a huge difference.  Additionally, OFFTHEFIELD will be hosting a Dodgeball Tournament fundraiser at our facility on June 4th @ 6pm. The Cooks would love nothing more than to enjoy an evening full of fun, competition, and support.  It will be an incredible night for an incredible family.
