Hi everyone,

We’re Jessica and Eric, the children of Larry and Cindy Hunt.

On October 5 Larry suffered a devastating fall from a ladder that resulted in severe injuries. He sustained numerous broken ribs, a fractured pelvis and shoulder blade, and fractures in both the lumbar and cervical portion of his back. He was rushed into emergency surgery to stabilize his spinal cord and is now in the Intensive Care Unit, where his medical team is working to determine the next steps in his recovery.

Progress has been slow due to complications that have arisen since the surgery. As many of you know, Larry is a Type 1 diabetic, which makes the healing process even more complex.

If you know Larry, you know he’s the family cook. A devoted dog lover, a proud “Papa” to six grandchildren, and the ultimate jokester with his absurd Halloween decor. Seeing him in this condition is surreal and we know we just have to focus on get through the hard parts together.

The physical toll of his injuries is only one part of the challenge. Larry will be unable to work for a significant period, and the financial burden will quickly grow.

While we are doing everything we can to support them at the hospital, we’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community to ask for help. Your support, whether it’s financial, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping Larry in your thoughts means the world to us.

We don’t yet know what Larry’s full prognosis will be, but we do know that the road ahead will be long. Your generosity will help relieve some of the pressure so the focus can be on what matters most.
