Cookie got out of prison over a year ago, serving time for a non-violent felony drug conviction, and has been trying to get back on her feet. She's a student at BeVelle Barber College and is set to graduate next month. She just learned that in addition to the remaining $1000 tuition, she owes $900 for over extension of graduation date. The total $1900 balance is due on May 8th but for peace of mind, Cookie is hoping to pay it earlier.

While attending barber school, Cookie also works two jobs and just took on another in food service to help her get the money she needs to graduate. Having a felony conviction has limited her job options but she's doing everything she can to graduate from barber school so she can thrive and live as full a life as possible. 

The justice system as it's set up makes it very difficult for people in Cookie's situation to find meaningful employment and to get back on their feet. Cookie is off probation and has worked hard to get to where she is and is determined to make a life for herself. If you can, please help in any way possible. Any and all help is much appreciated!
