He sustained a fractured neck, broken left clavicle, several broken ribs on both sides, both lungs punctured, the left side of his pelvis was broken, a subdermal hematoma, and major internal bleeding. The internal bleeding was found to be caused by a heavily damaged spleen, which was surgically removed.

He has been heavily sedated and in critical condition since then. The only update we’ve had is that he developed pneumonia and as a result his care team cannot safely remove the tube that is helping him to breathe.
His 50th birthday was May 3rd, which he spent unconscious and with his head strapped to his bed to prevent more damage being done to his neck.

As of right now we don’t have any idea how long he will be hospitalized. We have no idea how much this is going to ultimately cost... What we do know is that he was the sole provider between he and my mother. My mother is disabled and completely lost without her partner.
We’re working on setting up disability for Greg and to provide my mom a way to pay some bills, buy groceries, and pay rent. Setting up power of attorney, disability, and FMLA is a lengthy process.
Any help you could provide while we work toward getting all of that set up would be most appreciated and would go toward keeping a roof over my mom’s head, groceries in the fridge, the electricity and phone on, and fare for her to get to where she needs (like doctor appointments, the hospital to visit/stay with her husband, and to the grocery store, as their sole mode of transportation was totaled in the accident).

Thank you so much for your time and your help.
