Contributions directly fund wildlife conservation

I’m Steve, I live and work in Stratford upon Avon, married with three cats, self employed and passionate about wildlife conservation.

I have recently returned from South Africa, I spent a month there working with the WEI actively collecting data and doing research in Balule Reserve within the Greater Kruger area.

Some of our work involved making repairs to some of the tracks after the big floods in January. We participated daily in patrols to do bird and animal counts, collect data on animal movements and numbers. Whilst in vehicle and on foot we also acted as a visible deterrent to poachers whilst also providing extra eyes end ears on the ground for the anti poaching teams working in the area.

In the coming months, I will be returning to South Africa for several weeks to work directly in wildlife conservation, research, and anti-poaching operations. This is hands-on, frontline work alongside dedicated rangers and conservationists who risk their lives daily to protect endangered species from extinction.

Poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict continue to threaten some of the world’s most iconic and vulnerable animals. Behind every statistic is a living creature fighting to survive — and a small, determined team working tirelessly to defend them.

During this trip, I will be assisting with wildlife monitoring, field research, conservation data collection, and supporting anti-poaching patrol efforts. The work is demanding, urgent, and deeply meaningful.

To make this return trip possible, I am seeking support in the form of sponsorship or donations. Contributions will directly fund travel, conservation program participation, essential field equipment, and resources that strengthen on-the-ground protection efforts.

I trying to raise as much as possible to fund this trip, being self employed I am sacrificing 6 weeks earnings in order to go back to Africa, so every little bit of funding will help me to get there and contribute.

25% of funds I raise I will donate to Born Free, a charity very close to my heart.

Your support is not simply a financial contribution — it is an investment in preservation, protection, and purpose. It is an opportunity to stand behind a cause that safeguards biodiversity for future generations.

I will be sharing updates, photographs, and impact reports throughout my time out there, so supporters can see firsthand the difference their involvement is making.

If you would like to contribute or discuss sponsorship opportunities, I would be grateful for the opportunity to speak with you further.

Thank you for your continued support and for considering involvement in this important conservation effort. Together, we can play a small but meaningful role in protecting wildlife for future generations.
